CHP Deputy Group Chair Başarır spoke at the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters: "That seat is full, its owner is known."

Başarır, in his statement in front of his party's Istanbul Provincial Headquarters, said that they, as the CHP Provincial Headquarters, had decided together on the road map for the process they were facing.

Başarır, stating that Hasan Babacan, who was on the temporary committee appointed by the Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance to exercise the powers of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair, the Provincial Executive Board, and the Provincial Disciplinary Board, voluntarily resigned from his position, said, "Now, at this hour, Müjdat Gürbüz, who is also on this five-member committee, announced that he is withdrawing from that committee without any pressure for the sake of his party and its future. They did the right thing."

"I'M CALLING OUT TO OUR 3 FRIENDS WHO ARE LEFT BEHIND FROM HERE"

Başarır said, "The CHP's provincial chair is determined not by a court in Çağlayan, but by 600 elected provincial delegates. Therefore, I am calling out to the remaining three friends from here: We are fighting together, we are fighting for democracy. We are fighting for the future of 86 million people. Come, do not be complicit in this wrong decision of the court. Like our other party members, withdraw from this committee."

PROVINCIAL PRESIDENCY MESSAGE: "THAT SEAT IS OCCUPIED, THE OWNER OF THAT SEAT IS ÖZGÜR ÇELİK"

When asked by a member of the press about Gürsel Tekin's statement, which was appointed to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Administration by the Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance, Başarır said, "I will protect the CHP's institutional identity. To put an end to all these discussions, I will be at the CHP Provincial building on Monday at 12:00. I will go to the provincial chairmanship and take that seat," Başarır responded as follows:

That seat is filled; the owner is Özgür Çelik. He's currently in a meeting with 39 district chairs. I wish there was something we could do. We believe in democracy, law, and justice. The CHP Provincial Chairmanship doesn't come from a computerized provincial chairman's letter. The CHP Provincial Chairmanship is a combination of district delegates elected by thousands of members, provincial delegates elected by them, and Özgür Çelik elected by those provincial delegates.
